Abstract

The development, usage, and investigation of digital video libraries for education have increased in recent years. This manuscript provides a review of design and development processes for creating a digital video library. Specifically, we will highlight the current expectations of the average user, and summarize guidance on how to meet those expectations. Also, we specify the major processes and considerations involved in creating digital videos of various types. In addition, we illustrate and outline the major components of a library's infrastructure. Finally, we provide an overview of the systems, information types, and technologies involved in designing the interface and its system of interactions with users.
