Abstract
We investigate the influence of current flow through a one dimensional (1D) channel defined by a quantum point contact (QPC) on the equilibrium transport characteristics of an adjacent quantum dot. As the DC current in the 1D channel is increased, changes in the height, position and width of the Coulomb blockade oscillations of the quantum dot are observed.
