Abstract

We establish new results to analyze the stability of interconnected systems and to obtain estimates for the domain of attraction of asymptotically stable equilibrium points in interconnected systems by making use of the constructive algorithm due to Brayton and Tong [1]. These results are applied in the stability analysis of interconnected power systems. In doing so, we introduce a new Lyapunov function in the analysis of power systems.
