N2 - The integration of radiating elements with metasur- faces have enhanced the radiation performance of antennas. In this paper, circular metasurfaces are reviewed and analyzed. The placement of curvilinear radiating element in the vicinity of a circular metasurface is investigated and compared to rectangular geometries. A superior performance is observed when circular metasurface ground planes are utilized with curvilinear radiating elements.
