Abstract

CD-ROM is a newly developed technology with immense storage capability. Its storage capability has allowed the development of Compact Disk Audio, Compact Dick Video, and Digital Video Interactive which, whcn stored on CD-ROM, promise that the interaction between students and computers can produce quality learning. With CD-ROM capability, teachers can provide expert system guidance and instruction; provide a cost effective, anxiety-free learning environment; and foster a positive attitude toward education in their students-all this, potentially, on one compact disk that a teacher can carry in one hand.
