Abstract

The effect of symmetry breaking in riddling was systematically analyzed. In particular, symmetry breaking that destroys the essential dynamical element required for riddling was considered. The principal result is that, while riddling is robust against perturbations that preserve the symmetry and invariance of the system, it is structurally unstable under perturbations that destroy the symmetry.
