Abstract

Combine surface plasmon resonance biomolecular interaction analysis with matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight MS and the result is BIA/MS - a powerful new technique for characterizing proteins in natural systems. Randall Nelson, Dobrin Nedelkov, and Kemmons Tubbs of Intrinsic Bioprobes describe the technique and illustrate its use with some applications.
