Bifurcation of axially symmetric capillary surfaces

Abstract

Axially symmetric drops that are entrapped between two parallel planes and influenced by gravity and rotation are studied. Their shapes and the resulting bifurcation and stability diagrams are calculated numerically. The parameters involved are the volume and the gravitational and centrifugal forces.
