Abstract

19 students in an introductory group-counseling course chose to participate in a laboratory experience focusing on weight loss. After a 3-wk delayed-treatment phase, Ss gained an average of .35 lbs. 6 wks of comprehensive behavior programming produced a significant mean loss of 6.54 lbs, which was maintained relatively well at a 2-mo follow-up.
