Abstract
The implementation of performance information procurement system (PIPS), a performance contracting process, is discussed. It is found that the PIPS implementation is successful on painting, roofing, waterproofing, mechanical and general construction projects. The analysis shows that the PIPS increased the level of performance of the contractors at a very small increase in first cost.
