Abstract

In the current paper, an approach for the time-based analysis of spatiotemporal data, as an adjunct to location-based and object-based analysis, is described. This approach includes a time-based data model and associated relational operators. The design for TEMPEST, a prototype Temporal Geographic Information System (TGIS) that implements this approach, is also outlined. -from Authors
