Abstract

The problem of management of cache consistency in a mobile wireless computing environment was considered. The minimization of overheads for the mobile hosts (MH) to validate their cache upon reconnection and minimization of bandwidth requirement was discussed. A mathematical model for the scheme was proposed which was in confirmity with simulation results.
