Abstract
The mechanistic reprogramming of enzymes to perform new chemical reactions has emerged as a powerful strategy for addressing long-standing challenges in organic synthesis. In a recent Science article, Huang and co-workers report on the discovery and development of an abiological radical-relay C(sp3)–H azidation catalyzed by nonheme iron enzymes.
