Abstract

A new technique for characterizing the pore structures in thin films has been developed. The technique is rapid compared to other measurement techniques, and it also provides a depth distribution of the open porosity of the film. Using this technique, the pore structure of sol-gel derived hydroxyapatite thin films was determined.
