Abstract
A new thin-slot sub-cell equivalent circuit and associated FDTD algorithm is derived as an extension to the in-cell capacitance. Thus, three methods are used to study the effect of a slot's presence on the shielding effectiveness (SE) of a cavity. Comparisons between the various methods, as well as with measurements, are performed to investigate their capabilities and limitations.
