Description
WindTracer Deployment for Tehachapi Wind Farms Tehachapi Lidar Deployment 1. Purpose We propose a WindTracer deployment in Tehachapi Pass to measure winds with high spatial and temporal resolution in the wind farm development areas. The purpose of the project is to obtain a Doppler lidar dataset in support of next generation enhancements in short-term wind power forecasting. The requested EPRI funds of $50K will allow a short field deployment of 3-4 weeks which can be expanded to up to one year depending on partners and additional funding requests under consideration.
