Goal and Objectives The goal of this project is to gather requirements for and prototype the infusion of actionable climate guidance into the mitigation process in order to assess plan improvements and community identification of important risk-reducing projects. Objectives: 1. Gather and document community requirements for climate and extreme weather information that would enlighten comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation planning. 2. With engagement from NOAA, FEMA and the State and County Emergency Management, identify deficiencies in the mitigation planning process, information gaps, and recommend actions to improve the process and plans. 3. Assess whether the injection of climate and weather information into the mitigation process is feasible resulting in improved community confidence that fosters engagement and planning.
