Understanding Homelessness in Apache Junction Understanding Homelessness in Apache Junction Through the participation of the Socio-Economic, Public Affairs Capstone and Landscape Architecture Design Studio/ Design & Arts Corps courses, ASU faculty, students, and staff will engage in the Understanding Homelessness in Apache Junction project with City staff. Students in these courses will study homeless populations in the City, impacts of homelessness on the City, policies and practices related to homelessness, and possible solutions to the challenges related to homelessness. Student teams within each class will provide a report of their findings and recommendations for the City of Apache Junctions further study or action. ASUs Project Cities staff support the project by: facilitating City staff, course instructor and student collaboration efforts; coordinating meeting and transportation logistics for ASU course participants to interact with City staff; formatting and editing student reports; and, compiling final student deliverables before transmission to the City.
