The Validity of Cartridge Case Comparison Conclusions Under Field-Based Conditions The Validity of Cartridge Case Comparison Conclusions Under Field-Based Conditions This research will use the experimental method to examine potential sources of human judgment error within the forensic sciences. The conditions to be examined include uncertainty in the interpretation of forensic evidence, and exposure to contextual information conveyed through conventional verification procedures. The findings will advance understanding about the probative value of forensic science under conditions that are widespread within the discipline
