The Software Enterprise: Producing Industry-Ready Software Engineers The Software Enterprise: Producing Industry-Ready Software Engineers The project will enhance the preparedness and motivation for students of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University through applied research experiences, stimulating project experiences, modernized pedagogy, and industry engagement. Students will participate in applied research in the fields of software engineering and information technology, learning how use-inspired research methods evolve from specific societal problems. This will help students become empowered critical thinkers, leading to stronger contributions as future scientists, industry leaders, or entrepreneurs. Arizona State Universitys modern approach to pedagogy, exemplified in its embrace to project-centric learning in the Software Enterprise, raises the bar for every student in the New American University, no matter her/his starting point. Strong industry partnerships result increase the opportunities afforded to these students, thereby enhancing the economic development of the state of Arizona.
