Surveys to assess current status and distribution of Arizona toad Surveys to assess current status and distribution of Arizona toad Objectives are to document Arizona toad within its range in Arizona. Researchers will conduct distance-constrained visual encounter surveys for larval toads May-July, 2020 and 2021. Survey sites from known historical localities from georeferenced data (from AGFD HDMS, GBIF data repository, museum records, 2) Unsampled localities determined high-priority by habitat suitability spatial model. Deliverables include presence/absence data, site occupancy, and detectability values for sites sampled.
