Supporting the ARPA-E Grid Optimization (GO) Competition Challenge 2 Supporting the ARPA-E Grid Optimization (GO) Competition Challenge 2 The project support team, consisting of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), the University of WisconsinMadison (UW-Madison), Texas A&M, and Arizona State University (ASU), shall support ARPA-E throughout the GO Competition: design, execution, evaluation, and transition. Under this contract, Arizona State University shall continue to assist PNNL to develop, observe, and maintain the competition procedures. Arizona State Universitys scope includes: (1) Providing support in acquiring and using software for the team at PNNL in the commercial and the open source software domain. This includes working on PNNL computers. (2) Analyzing the various optimization problems faced in Challenge 2. (3) Analyze the performance of the competing teams. This will include running some of their code with the Artelys/North-western team and with Carleton Coffrin's Julia code. (4) Analyze the programs of some competitors to identify issues, bottlenecks etc.
