Description

Studio for the Future of Arts and Culture in America Studio for the Future of Arts and Culture in America Statement of Work Studio for the Future of Arts and Culture in America Funding from the CCI Grant will support the faculty, guest speakers, video and travel costs associated with designing a studio class here at ASU. This six-week course will be organized as a design studio where students think about and design for blue sky possible futures for artists, new organizational forms, new forms of delivery, new institutions, and new types of engagement with audiences - to rethink the arts and culture ecosystem of the United States. Students will start from scratch and redesign our cultural infrastructure to support the way the rising generation of artists want to work and have impact. Their ideas will be recorded in a sizzle reel which will be used to support the future work associated with this class and its students. The class will include a field visit to San Jose, CA.
