STATISTICAL DATA PROCESSING OF PACECO PV ARRAY MONITORS AND GUI DEVELOPMENT STATISTICAL DATA PROCESSING OF PACECO PV ARRAY MONITORS AND GUI DEVELOPMENT From July 2009 to Aug. of 2010, we propose to develop algorithms for analyzing this data, to extract information on the following: Characterize electrical noise on DC and AC sides of the inverter. Measurements will be done by APS and provided to the ASU team for processing. Initially the OPV3 inverter will be characterized and noise levels used for signal processing Variance of solar irradiance and its effect on the generated power at the panel and string level Degradation mechanisms of PV power with parameters including panel temperature, ambient temperature and weather conditions load change and panel soiling conditions. Panel soiling conditions to signal need for panel cleaning Optimizing serial/parallel topologies to compensate for panel and/or string failures to maximize power output and produce the best matching to power grid load change Adopt a statistical methodology which is able to model and cope with random variability of the parameters involved and imperfections in the measurement. As such, sample correlations of data (e.g. of weather data and inverter power output) will be a useful tool in coping with noise and measurement imperfections Develop a graphical user interface (GUI) for better visualization of PV array data
