The workshop (SBP09) will follow the successful procedures and format of its first edition. The program will include invited speakers from government, industry, and academia, as well as research presentations and discussions. The schedule will be decided at a later date based on the accepted papers and available speakers. We will solicit technical contributions via various channels (bulletin boards, mailing lists, and professional organizations, among others). Each submission will be reviewed by a program committee comprising of experts from disparate fields related to social computing and behavioral modeling including sociologists, anthropologists, psychologists, cognitive scientists, computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians, to name a few. The papers with novel ideas and technical depth will be accepted for oral presentations, and the papers with good ideas and preliminary work will be accepted for poster presentations. All accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings. A preliminary list of the program committee of SBP09 can be found at http://www.public.asu.edu/~huanliu/sbp09/organizer.html including experts from national research labs, universities, government organizations, and industry.
