Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The model calibration technique implemented in PCW 1.0 is based on flow and pressure measurements. CO2 tracer gas measurements are being used to validate this approach. Experience with these tracer tests indicates that they are relatively simple and inexpensive to perform as long as research grade CO2 monitoring equipment is not needed. The developer shall develop a methodology for using CO2 tracer gas tests in the PCW model calibration process. The focus of the task is the specification of what tests to run and how to interpret them to correct the model. Application to real buildings within this task shall be limited to evaluation of data from prior field tests.
