Description

Proposal for studies to determine the optimal photocathode material for the LCLS-II-HE SRF gun and to specify its operating parameters Proposal for studies to determine the optimal photocathode material for the LCLS-II-HE SRF gun and to specify its operating parameters 1. Performing the low field QE, MTE characterization and surface characterization of cathode candidates being investigated for use in the SRF gun. 2. Develop a UHV chamber for interfacing INFN plugs used in high field RF guns with the ASU cathode characterization facility. 3. Characterize the nanoscale surface roughness of cathodes to be tested in high field RF guns
