Description

The Arizona Diversity Business Development Center in partnership with Banner Healthcare Services, Chicanos por la Causa, Maricopa Workforce Connections and Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation (CONHI) proposes Project MADE. The aims of this project are: 1. To increase the diversity of new applicants to nursing and other health professions through focus recruitment (200/year) 2. To support new graduates in nursing to be successful through a mentored clinical residency program(#/year) 3. To provide advanced skills training for current nursing assistants and RNs to facilitate job progression ( #/year) 4. To provide support to current Associate degree nurses to obtain a Baccalaureate degree( BSN) in order to meet the growing demand for BSN prepared skilled nurses in healthcare positions.( 90 total( 3 cohorts of 30)) Chicanos por la Causa and Maricopa Workforce Connections will be responsible for developing and implementing Aim 1 in cooperation with Arizona State University CONHI . Banner Health Care services will implement Aims 2,3,4. Arizona State University will provide the RN to BSN educational program to 3 cohorts of associate degree nurses employed at Banner Healthcare Services ( Aim 4).
