Project Details

Eight Arizona PBS will provide high quality professional development to 300 individuals in Yuma County. The professional development program will focus on programs and strategies that are based on Developmentally Appropriate Practice. There will be specific focus on executive function, kindergarten readiness and intentional teaching. The method used to provide the high quality professional development will be in the form of monthly mini-conferences with breakout sessions to choose from. The format will be conducted during Saturdays and will meet from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Each participant will have two sessions from which to choose during the professional development opportunity. This model will also offer a full day Yuma Early Childhood Conference in April with a keynote address and up to 30 breakout sessions. To tier the learning to all levels of early learning professional as well as directors of early care facilities, we will offer two cohorts: 1. An Intentional Teacher Cohort of 20 participants and 2.
