Project Details

Description

SCOPE OF WORK At NRELs direction the Subcontractor shall grow/provide algal biomass samples. The Subcontractor shall cultivate/grow algal biomass, from three algal strains, using three specific conditions leading to the production of carbohydrate, protein or lipid, materials that can be converted into fuels, such as ethanol. These process-relevant demonstrations of fuel production of kilogram quantities of algal biomass require unique cultivation facilities, robust strains of microalgae and capabilities for algal biomass production and harvesting. The algal strains, cultivations conditions and methodology are listed in the SABC milestone report, Exhibit A.
