PRIORITIZING EMISSIONS MITIGATION STRATEGIES AT THE MARIPOSA POINT OF ENTRY PROJECT

Project: Research project

Description

SCOPE OF WORK The researchers will develop an emissions inventory and emissions mitigation strategies for the Maricopa Point of Entry (POE) Northbound activity at the Arizona-Mexico border. The team will use vehicle emissions modeling software to assess passenger cars and commercial trucks. Emissions profiles will be joined with vehicle simulation software to assess aggregate daily emissions at the POE. Mitigation strategies will be tested in the modeling including preclearance and consolidation of US-Mexico border operations.
