Description
Phase 2: Power Factor Correction Circuit with an Auxiliary Circuit for Zero Voltage Transitions Power Factor Correction Circuit with an Auxiliary Circuit for Zero Voltage Transitions The main project objective is to demonstrate the suitability and performance of a patented low-loss auxiliary circuit in power factor correction (PFC) circuits to achieve zero voltage transitions, and hence efficient, high frequency operation . The goal is to achieve 50% reduction in the overall losses of the PFC circuit relative to the basic PFC with no ZVT circuit, while operating at a switching frequency of 500 kHz or above.
