Description
PBS Arts Fall Festival 2014 Station Event Grant PBS Arts Fall Festival 2014 Station Event Grant This fall the PBS ARTS FALL FESTIVAL expands to eleven weeks, starting Friday, September 26 at 9 PM, to underscore PBSs ongoing commitment to the best performing arts programming in America. As part of the promotion for the series and to highlight that national commitment, five promotional grants of up to $10,000 are available to stations in qualifying markets that want to participate in the PBS Arts Lunchtime Intermission campaign. Events must include presentation of a one-hour live performance event featuring a local artist or artists between September 15 and October 31, 2014 in a public space with significant foot traffic, during the lunch hour of 12-1 PM. A street team or member station representatives will hand out promotional cards or flyers about the ongoing Festival and a social media aspect should be incorporated into the activities. Signage about the performances and the Fall Festival is required; stations may use the opportunity to solicit memberships, and perform other outreach tasks on-site. The goal of these events is to support and highlight the arts in your community, position your station as a vital source for the arts in your community, reach out to traditional PBS viewers as well as other artslovers with PBS ARTS FALL FESTIVAL information and messaging, and to encourage tune-in.
