Description
Novel Virtual Substrates for Future Generation IR Photodetectors Novel Substrates for Photodetectors. Develop and characterize the growth, structural, and optical properties of novel substrates for various IR photodetector applications. The research will focus on substrates of two types: i) lattice-matched high-performance composite CdSeTe/InSb substrates for MCT detectors; and ii) low-cost and large-area ZnTe/GaAs and ZnTe/Si substrates for type-II superlattices IR detectors. This work will be carried out jointly with Army Research Laboratory.
