North Carolina Zoological Society Support for Anti-Poaching Patrols and Genetic Monitoring of Ngogo Chimpanzees North Carolina Zoological Society Support for Anti-Poaching Patrols and Genetic Monitoring of Ngogo Chimpanzees This project will protect chimpanzees and other animals living in Kibale National Park, Uganda, through anti-poaching patrols. 12 days per month, Ugandan employess of the Ngogo Chimpanzee Project will patrol the forest, looking for snares and other signs of illegal hunting activity. They camp overnight in the forest. All 10,000 will be used to partially fund the salaries of our 9 patrollers. Each patroller is paid $3000 per year.
