Project Details

Description

ASU will provide, through instrumentation that is available there, and the expertise of Dr. Zuofeng Zhao, information on the glass transition temperatures of g-MOFS and g-COFS as functions of composition, and such MOF variables as node structure and strut flexibility. As far as possible these studies will be conducted on solvent-free systems the limitation being that the glass transition must be observable. When the solvent-free system shows no glass transition (as in the case of our initial study now under review at Nature), the glass transition measurements will be conducted on solvent-containing systems as a function of solvent content.
