Description

iDigBio AR Flashcard iDigBio Each TCN to continue in selecting key specimens for content development. Content to be entered and shared via a Google production spreadsheet for which each TCN can contribute and edit. 2D/3D imaging continues. Instructions to be sent to those who prefer to image inhouse. Those specimens that are not being imaged in-house will need to be shipped on loan for us to image at ASU Natural History collections facility. We will need to complete the following for each specimen: o A 2D image (JPEG) o 3D model o 2D image of specimen label if exists (JPEG) o Specimen data such as geolocation information to be entered into production sheet Second virtual meeting to discuss content/product development. How can the technology be used to enhance understanding of specific concepts as it relates to the interrelationships of species, environmental impacts, etc. Other questions and discussions as related to specific features and tools, imaging challenges and questions, and a review as to what has been done to date. 2D images and 3D model deliverables from each TCN who are doing their own imaging. 3D models exported and delivered to AR development team. Markers and Flashcard designs developed. All media audio/video content used and permissions obtained as needed. 2D images and/or 3D model deliverables from each TCN who are doing their own imaging. 3D models exported and delivered to AR development team. Markers and Flashcard designs developed. Desktop app interface developed. All media audio/video content used and permissions obtained if needed. Desktop app interface developed and testing begins. 2D/3D editing completed and ready for AR interactions. Channel/buttons/content completed for mobile version. Desktop app tested via developer website portal. Interactions with markers completed. TCNs to test and provide feedback. Channel-based mobile version/desktop tested and launched. Prepare a prototype demo based on completed cards. Proceed with completing any remaining TCN cards and assemble for iDigbio Flashcard set. Pilot testing of cards in the classroom and museum setting. Further development based on initial results of prototype with the potential of native app development/and embedded app into learning modules for access to updated content and specimens.
