High-resolution Late Pleistocene-Holocene excavations at Kisese II rockshelter, Kondoa (Tanzania) High-resolution Late Pleistocene-Holocene excavations at Kisese II rockshelter, Kondoa (Tanzania) The remaining funds of the Leakey Foundation award will be used to support remote field research in 2021 at Kisese II rockshelter in Kondoa, Tanzania. Funds will be used to for radiocarbon dating of collected charcoal samples from 2017 and 2019. Funds will also be used for travel and lodging for Tanzanian collaborators Sarah Molel and Husna Mashaka to continue the analysis of the archaeological materials, housed in Kondoa, and to continue building rapport with the stakeholders around the site.
