Gila River Indian Community Gila River Indian Community GRIC ASU Program The Center for Indian Education (CIE) at Arizona State University submits an application to the (GRIC) for the Gila River Culture and Language Teachers Cohort. This is a four-year program that will provide the following: teaching and mentoring services to students enrolled in the Gila River Culture and Language Teachers Cohort. The CIE also will conduct a formative evaluation of the Cohort that examines the Cohorts effectiveness, as well as ways to improve the experiences of the students enrolled in the Cohort. The purpose of this program is to prepare language and culture teachers to work in schools in the . The CIE proposes to provide the following services and activities during from August 1st, 2014 to June 30th, 2018: supervision and oversight of the students day-to-day educational experiences, an evaluation as listed above, travel to and from the , and instructors for courses.
