Frontiers in Life Sciences: Sustainable Phosphorus Summit Frontiers in Life Sciences: Sustainable Phosphorus Summit Modern food production depends on phosphate rock for crop fertilization, but the availability of phosphate rock is declining globally. Concurrently, phosphorus run]off from agriculture is polluting our waterways and coastal areas. The goal of the Sustainable Phosphorus Summit is to define the phosphorus sustainability issue, develop and communicate possible solutions for achieving sustainable phosphorus use, and raise awareness about the issue. We expect the conference attendance to be about 100 people and to include stakeholders from a variety of institutions and disciplines.
