Fortifying Data-at-Rest Encryption with a Credential/Functional-Based Encryption Layer Fortifying Data-at-Rest Encryption with a Credential/Functional-Based Encryption Layer In this project, the PI will work with ATC () to investigate innovative and cost-effective techniques and algorithms to strengthen data-at-rest encryption by incorporating user's credentials (i.e. clearances) as part of the encryption scheme. ASU will be a sub-contractor to ATC to apply for the DoD Navy STTR project. ASU researcher will conduct the following research and development tasks: 1. Perform literature review of Attribute-Based Encryption (ABE) algorithms and implementations. 2. Develop the prototype implementations of ABE algorithms. 3. Provide consulting services to ATC on crypto-related research and development.
