EPV08005:IEC 61646, IEC 61730-2 Retest section J on EPV Solar EPV-53 photovoltaic modules EPV08005:IEC 61646, IEC 61730-2 Retest section J on EPV Solar EPV-53 photovoltaic modules The Photovoltaic Testing Laboratory at Arizona State University (ASU-PTL) will conduct photovoltaic module tests according to the following standards: 1) lEC 61646: Thin-film terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) modules - Design qualification and type approvall 2) lEC 61730-2: Photovoltaic (PV) module safety qualification - Part 2: Requirements for testing; The tests will be conducted on EPV Solar EPV-53 photovoltaic modules. A total of (5) unconditioned production modules will be required to complete the test program, as shown in the attached Test Quote Work Sheet, dated 2008]ulOl. Similarity Qualification The EPV-53 qualification is based on the successful completion of the EPV-40z design type, tested in PTL project EPV08001, and on successful completion of tests in this program. Specific tests include: Hot Spot Endurance Reverse Current Overload Mechanical Load (without light-soaking)[ requested by VDE Testing and Certification Institute] Module breakage [requested by [VDE Testing and Certification Institute]
