Epigenetic Neuroimaging Behavioral Effects of Hypertension in the Aging Brain Epigenetic, Neuroimaging & Behavioral Effects of Hypertension in the Aging Brain As PI of this multi-PI grant, Dr. Paul Coleman at ASU will work closely with all investigators involved in the project to coordinate grant activities across all sites. Upon receipt of the tissues samples from the target brain regions from Dr. Barnes team at the UA, Dr. Coleman and his team at ASU will work closely with Dr. Huentelmans group at TGen in performing laser capture microdissection to feed the RNA expression work at TGen and the DNA methylation and histone modification experiments that will be conducted at Banner Sun Health. Finally, Dr. Coleman will oversee the coordination of manuscript preparation for the publications to arise from these experiments. In the first year of project the Coleman lab will coordinate with the Huentelman lab to receive the laser captured cells so that he can extract the DNA necessary to begin his analysis of potential epigenetic changes induced by hypertension.
