Description

Design and Creation of a Registry for Housing Standard Procurement Operating Procedures for Tissue Collection Design and Creation of a Registry for Housing Standard Procurement Operating Procedures for Tissue Collection Biospecimens form the cornerstone for molecular, diagnostic, and biomarker research. There exists significant goodwill among subjects to give informed consent and provide biological samples to researchers with the goal of advancing science and improving the health of future patients (1). The acquisition of useful data from each sample relies upon both ensuring that the sample is processed appropriately for its intended use and that the relevant clinical information, sample provenance, and sample processing details are appropriately attached to the sample. Standard Operating Procedures provide an excellent means to help drive superior quality by ensuring proper handling of both samples and associated data.
