Continuous Ethanol Fermentation and Recovery using an Improved Zeolite Membrane Bioreactor

Project: Research project

Project Details

The requested travel supplement will be used to attend and participate in the NSF CBET Grantees Conference in Baltimore, MD (June 6-8, 2012). As the PI on award 1067684, I will be presenting a poster entitled Zeolite Membrane Bioreactors for Enhanced Biofuel Production and Recovery during the general poster session. By participating in this interactive conference program, I will not only be able to present the latest results from my research, but I will also have the unique and important opportunity to discuss new research ideas and opportunities with program managers and other investigators from across the country. Justification for Supplement The requested supplement is required because, being only the first meeting of this conference series, the expenses related to attending were not and could not be included in the original budget request. Budgets (Including Justification) The $2,000 requested will be used by the PI for return airfare between Phoenix, AZ and Baltimore, MD ($750), ground transportation ($100), registration ($350), hotel ($600), and meals ($200).
