ASU-Sloan Program for Exceptional Mentoring (PEM) (ASUF 30006275) ASU-Sloan University Center of Exemplary Mentoring The proposed UCEM seeks to be a flagship program representing the core values of ASUs New American University model: excellence, access and impact. The project unites several outstanding programs at Arizona State University with the aim to be a national leader in applied math and the computational sciences as well as engaging high-performing, URM students. The overarching goal of the ASU-Sloan UCEM is to create multiple entry points for URM students into a shared support network of scientists that will mentor them on their journey to the doctorate and beyond. The UCEM provides a collaborative forum and experiences for scientists to stay connected, develop best practices and support the long-term success of current and future members.
