The tests to be conducted are shown in the attached Test Quote Work Sheet. Tests as found in IEEE 1513 and IEe 61215 tests are shown in the left-hand column of the Test Quote Work Sheet. ASU-PTL will be seekIng to list lEe 62108 tests on its Scope of Accreditation, concurrently with the execution of this program. Although this would officially start out as an "engineering" program, ASU-PTL should be able to state whether the modules meet IEe 62108 standards or not by the program's completion. A total of SEVEN unconditioned modules and THREE receivers will be required to complete the test program. The Receivers will not be subjected to insulation testing. One receiver will be prepared with thermocouples for the Bypass Diode Thermal test. SolFocus is also responsible for providing the following items to ASU-PTL prior to the initial inspection of the modules: 1) One pair of mating connectors for each module; 2) Bypass Diode data sheets; 3) Module mounting/installation instructions; 4) Special installation hardware (if applicable). The tests to be conducted are based on the IEe 62108 standard and specific information provided to ASUPTL by SolFocus. If new information becomes available to ASU-PTL or if corrections must be made based on existing information at any point in the course of the testing, the test program may be modified to accommodate IEe requirements. ASU-PTL will transfer an lEe test data report to SolFocus upon completion of testing and test data review, regardless of the outcome of testing . . PTL will provide email status reports at various times throughout the test program to SolFocus. Modules submitted for testing will not be returned unless specifically requested by SolFocus. If a return of the modules is needed, all packaging, shipping arrangements and fees must be incurred by SolFocus. Unless ASU-PTL is notified in advance, all shipping materials will be disposed shortly after their arrival. ASU-PTL assumes no responsibility for damage or loss of modules following the completion of the test program. The Photovoltaic Testing Laboratory at Arizona State University is ISO 17025 accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). All tests performed under this agreement are on ASUPTL's Scope of Accreditation at the time of test. SLP07001A-VDE: IEC 61215 and IEC 61730-2 tests on Sunllink PV SL 160-24M170 photovoltaic modules TJS07001A-LZ: IEC 61646 Tests of Tianjin Jinneng Solar 40(46)H/G640*1249A Photovoltaic modules The tests will be conducted on Tianjin Jinneng Solar 40(46)H/G640*1249A photovoltaic modules. A total of NUMBER unconditioned production modules will be required to complete the test program, as shown in the attached Test Quote Work Sheet, dated 5/12/08. IEC 61646 TEST SEQUENCE C is being repeated based on a single test failure in TEST SEQUENCE C of project 1}S07001-LZ. TlANJIN JINNENG SOLAR has agreed to begin this test program prior to the completion of project TJS07001-LZ. If a second test failure becomes evident in TJS07001-LZ, the results of this project become void. TlANJIN JINNENG SOLAR recognizes the risk associated with running this test program prior to the completion of 1}S0700l-LZ. No changes have been made to the design of the MODEL modules submitted for the repeat testing. OPS08003: Outdoor Field Exposure Tests on OptiSolar photovoltaic modules The ASU Photovoltaic Testing Laboratory will conduct long-term exposure field tests for OptiSolar. The test field will consist of four modules mounted on an open-rack at latitude tilt, loaded with a fixed resistor near the rated maximum power point of the module. The following data will be reported to OptiSolar on a monthly basis for one year: - Weather data (ambient temperature, humidity, latitude and horizontal irradiance); - Temps of every module; -DC Voltage of each module; - DC Current of each module; Data will be collected in 5-minute intervals for a period of one year. An email summary will be provided to OptiSolar in monthly intervals. The reported results are for OptiSolar's information only, and shall not be redistributed without the written approval of ASU-PTL; and the data provided therein relate only to the module(s)/component(s) tested at the date(s) of testing and do not guarantee any past or future performance/safety. Neither Arizona State University nor the Photovoltaic Testing Laboratory nor any of their employees assumes any liability arising out of the report. Modules submitted for testing will not be returned unless specifically requested by OptiSolar. If a return of the modules is needed, all packaging, shipping arrangements and fees must be incurred by OptiSolar. Unless ASU-PTL is notified in advance, all shipping materials will be disposed shortly after their arrival.
