Applied Sci-Fi Applied Sci-Fi Recognizing that fictional futures can and do have an impact on actual developments in technology and society, how can we systematically harness that influence to ensure better futures for society? To answer that question, we propose a series of virtual public roundtables and private workshops examining the increasingly diverse uses of science fiction as a professional tool for futures planning and technology ideation, culminating in publication of a guidebook to this emerging fields history and methods
