Description
An interactive and scalable spot detection plugin An interactive and scalable spot detection plugin Highly-plexed single molecule localization (e.g. multiplexed RNA-FISH) as well as single particle tracking microscopy experiments rely on the accurate detection of fluorescence spots. Often, the physics of image formation is ignored in favor of standard image processing algorithms. By explicitly accounting for image formation, one can calculate the probability that detections are real and specific. Beyond the benefits of a physics driven approach, there currently is not a Napari plugin that aids users in optimizing spot detection before analysis. By adapting our physics-first algorithms into a Napari plugin, we aim to bring increased functionality, accuracy, and repeatability to users.
