Description

American Express Leadership Academy FY 2016 (ASUF 30004658) American Express Leadership Academy FY 2016 Funds from this grant will support the American Express Leadership Academy to prepare leaders with the skills needed to address challenges facing the nonprofit sector. These leaders must work in an environment of blurring sector lines, technological changes and economic instability, all while producing community impact more effectively and with fewer resources than ever before. One of the critical needs of the nonprofit sector today is to build a pipeline of well trained, committed leaders who are good mentors, supervisors, and team leaders. The American Express Leadership Academy at ASUs Lodestar Center has a proven record for providing skills based training to mid and senior level executives in a yearlong program. The selected cohort work together for a year in a program that builds critical skills in emerging issues in the nonprofit sector and teaches the team members about different leadership styles and approaches to build their own leadership style.
